Every DiamondBack™ nozzle is built with Polycrystalline Diamond (PCD)—an advanced material engineered to dramatically extend nozzle life in demanding 3D printing environments. With extreme hardness, exceptional abrasion resistance, and outstanding thermal conductivity, PCD helps maintain precise nozzle geometry while efficiently transferring heat from the hotend to the filament.
Using our patented cubic press technology, microscopic diamond particles are fused together under extreme pressure (up to 1 million PSI) and temperatures exceeding 1200°C. This process sinters the particles into a dense, coherent diamond structure.
Unlike single-crystal diamond, the randomly oriented diamond grains in PCD eliminate natural cleavage planes and resist crack propagation. The result is a tougher, more durable diamond structure that stands up to highly abrasive filaments and delivers reliable, long-lasting performance.
